OUR ROOTS
One Step Ahead
Striving to develop the full potential of the child and instill a love of learning, the Propel Montessori Preschool was founded in 2005 at the Burquitlam Lions Care Centre where the children and senior residents interacted in a safe and controlled environment. The preschool curriculum was built around a unique concept where the philosophies of the Montessori and Reggio schools were implemented, along with other early childhood academic styles. This blend of academics was surrounded by the senior's community.
Susan Flores took over the school in 2013 and successfully built on the combination of these learning concepts. As the years progressed, a greater demand was seen for daycare than for preschool. Therefore, Susan used her many years of preschool teaching experience to develop a hybrid program which incorporates key elements of preschool learning into her daycare program.

Taking Your Child to New Heights
We pride ourselves on being able to bring a fun and engaging educational environment to children between the ages of 30 months and 6 years. Our Montessori and Reggio programs have been incorporated into our daycare making us unique from other daycare centers. This environment supports the natural tendency of children to learn. The child's love of learning is instilled through stimulating their curiosity. Young children who go to Propel Montessori Daycare get the tools and support they need for their healthy development. All activities are carefully designed to adequately nurture the emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of our kids. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop into bright young minds.
We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially, and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests, and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.
OUR MISSION
Propel Montessori Daycare adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we encourage them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they graduate from our Daycare, they are fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
